I love shoes... most people who know me know that I luv... chunky heels........ I have no idea why...maybe it's because I'm a big girl and they keep me stable... I also am a big fan of DSW... Designer Shoe Warehouse.. I bet you didn't know it stood for that!.. ha ha.. ok so anyway so my goal these days is do not pay more than $20 for any shoe.. no matter the label/brand. I know that sounds hard but.. I'm a clearance gurl. I've been holding on to this $10 rewards certificate from DSW for something special....awww did I find something special... a pair of Miss Me - Faris-3 Open-Toe Platform (I call them Chunky Monkey's). They start at $40.95... but no ma'am I will not be paying that price because not only where they on sale I had my certificate so I went and got the best shoes ever. I feel like I'm on the show Good Times... Scratching and surviving. Good Times Hanging in a jury. Good Times Ain't we lucky we got them. So today... I got an email that said free Dickey's Barbecue Sandwich and I'm like.. let me find out if this is accurate... so I called the local eatery just to make sure. Ok... so I signed up for a bunch of freebies weeks ago... the fine print said 4-6weeks.. they weren't playing with that one. There have been some great deals out there in the past month. I got to teach a lady how to shop at Walmart with coupons. We bought 8 items for only 8.61 cents. Everything was purchased had a coupon associated with it. 1.We had a coupon for Suave Professionals Conditioner 32floz - final cost FREE 2.Plus Carefree had a .94cent coupon so they were FREE. 3.Carefree Pantyliners body shape 22 count final cost FREE 4.We had a dollar off for the eggs from www.coupon.com so they were only .62cents 5.There was also a $2.00 coupon for the razors so their total was 1.47 6. mouth wash coupon was .75 cents off of 4.00 7. sausage .55 coupon. total savings - $11.94 I want to put a 30 day challenge! I have to admit. I was an impulsive buyer. I saw something I wanted and had to have it. That type of instantaneous microwave generation way of thinking is the same thing that got me into debt once. Thus I realize that it has to stop. No more spending money frivolously on things which have no quality based upon an emotional impulse which will subside in an hour. The high of buying something on an outward appearance. My new motto on any and everything is ="If it can't be bought with a coupon, I don't need it!." There are things that I would love to have that can not be bought with a coupon of course, like my own home and luxury car of my choice. With time and savings I will be able to have those things. Good things come to those who wait and are patient. So I realize that I'm going to get myself in order financially and live off half of my income. The price was right today because the price = FREE. One of the ways I have been cutting costs is through taking surveys. If I go to a fast food restaurant one of the things I noticed is that some of them have survey's on the back. The survey usually gets you some form of free food for taking it. Today was Arby's I took an online survey (you can also take it via phone). Today was a free Beef N' Cheddar.
